Paul McCartney was inspired to write the hit “Penny Lane” whilst waitng for this bus, he also jotted down the things he saw, including the barber's shop, the bank, and a nurse selling poppies. He later turned these notes into the song, which celebrates this time in their life.

This is just one of my many Beatles  themed paintings. Visit my shop to see the whole collection. and  discover how each piece beautfully complements  their enduring spirit.

    Roundabout

My Mum's family lived in Liverpool and growing up with the Beatles and their music in Canada, we were able to relate to the songs through the people who were there and actually rode that bus!
