This Penny Lane street sign marks the start of the lane on Allerton Road.
Penny Lane is situated opposite the bus shelter where Paul sat and began to formulate the lyrics to the fanous Penny Lane song whilst waiting for the bus.
This famous sign is regularly replaced due to zealous graffiti or theft. This is one of the more theft-resistant street signs installed in 2007, although this one has since been stolen!
