A trip across the Mersey on the Ferry was a regular day out for for us as kids. We would be itching to get to the fair in New Brighton, not really appreciating our wonderful ferry ride or taking in the famous Liverpool skyline. This painting is the Royal Iris heading with determination over to Woodside Terminus, one of the best days out ever!

While visiting Liverpool we took, for me, a very emotional ride "Across the Mersey" as the song made me think of my Mother leaving England for her new home with her Canadian soldier/husband.
